Party for Pisgah—and help protect it—on August 1st!

This is our last chance for to stop a 30-year plan that quadruples logging and weakens protections for the trails, rivers, trout streams, and scenic vistas of Pisgah-Nantahala National Forest.

The Protect Pisgah Party + Rally for the Forest will highlight the vast, overwhelming public and political support for protecting the Pisgah-Nantahala National Forest. The rally will be held outside the U.S. Forest Service headquarters in Asheville on Monday, August 1 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m., just before a week of decisive meetings.

Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer, Buncombe County Commission Chair Brownie Newman, and Buncombe County Commission Vice Chair Amanda Edwards will speak at the event. Enjoy music, food, ice cream, games, and lots of summer fun. Now more than ever, the forest needs your voice.
