Daniel Ridge

Daniel Ridge is a beloved hiking and mountain biking paradise. Located along the Blue Ridge Parkway across from Shining Rock Wilderness, Daniel Ridge features Courthouse Falls, a dramatic 45-foot waterfall in the southwest portion of the area. Devil’s Courthouse is a prominent rock outcrop popular with climbers. The Art Loeb Trail and Mountains to Sea Trail traverse the area, and much of Daniel Ridge is roadless, protecting scenic views from the Parkway. Old-growth forests and rare species are found throughout the area.
